Medgar Evers Exhumation

In 1963 Medgar Evers was assassination leaving behind his wife and three kids. His body was exhumed 28 years later. His 31, year old son Van was present. The casket was opened at Albany Medical Center. The body was in excellent condition, and Medgar Ever's son Van was overcome with emotion as he looked into his father's face. The body looked as if it was newly prepared. Dr. Michael Baden handled the exhumation. They both had tears in their eyes as they looked at the body.
